As the last snow melts and the first blossoms herald the arrival of spring, when the air is crisp and the light gets golden -Let’s dance in the morning dew and sing with the birds, let’s flow along with the river.
Let’s feel the moss beneath our feet and notice we’re alive.
It was a vision in the dead of winter, born by the longing.
This is how it all started.
In my soul, I could feel the soft moss under my bare feet. I could smell the fertile soil and icy water.
I know, these may look like a lot – two separate cable charts worked simultaneously, texture all over, a special cuff and heel…
If you’re joining me on this journey in a knit-along kind of fashion – do not despair at the sight of these! The next month (April) will be a break-month, so there will be no new sock pattern or chapter coming out till the 1st of May, which means you’ll have two full months for your Mossy Path Socks, without “falling behind”. ^^

The Mossy Path Socks are worked cuff down and feature a cable chart all the way down the front of the leg, as well as a separate cable chart down the back of the leg, with moss-stitch-texture all throughout the rest of the sock.
The cuff is especially designed to balance out- and seamlessly flow into both cable sections.
The heel is an eye of partridge heel flap, and the toe a classic wedged toe.
Both socks are worked exactly the same.
As always, I put a lot of – this time especially much – love and effort into creating this pattern.
So with that in mind: Please don’t steal this pattern to claim and/or sell it as your own.

Some Important Information
The next month (April), will be a break-month for the Chasing Magic Series!
This means the next chapter and sock pattern will come out on May 1st 2026.
This series has been going on for two months now – coming up to three, and I’m utterly blown away by the amount of love and support it has received this far!
So, before taking the first month off, I want to take a moment to say:

Every time I create something, I’m convinced “no one will ever see, let alone want to make this”- you wonderful people seem to have disagreed with that so far, and I’m so greatful for that!
It’s incredible getting to see people make something that I’ve put out there, and I hope so much you’ve enjoyed it so far!
I’ve noticed a few people made both the Dragon Skin Socks, as well as the Twisted Heart Socks – which made it feel like its a knit-along.
I’ve previously mentioned I’d love to make it one, but was a bit clueless how to, so seeing people just treat it that way is amazing!
Also, I have since discovered the concept of ravelry groups!
Due to the (to me personally) rather overwhelming nature of forums and groups of ravelry, I can’t claim I fully figured these things out just yet, but what’s better than learning as you go?

In The Meantime…
While the Chasing Magic Series is put on hold for a month, it doesn’t mean that there’s no yarny, cozy content coming for you to enjoy!
I’m currently working on something totally new that I’m planning to publish on the 1st of April!
I won’t reveal exactly what it is yet, since I can’t 100% promise I’ll be able to make it happen, but it’ll be easy to find on this site, as well as over on my ravelry page, since there will (hopefully) be a new design associated with it as well.
(And obviously, the pattern and mystery-thing will be free as always.)
I will say so much though;
If you’re interested in things like design-diaries, crafting, slow living, and living with the seasons, and/or if the contents on this blog align with your interests in any way – it’ll probably be worth a curious glance! ^^
So, just because the Chasing Magic Series will take a month off, I won’t! (which might not be the smartest decision in terms of good pacing… but who am I not to follow, when inspiration strikes? ^^’)
I hope you’ll pay the in-between-publication a visit as well, and to be able to greet you back here again for the next entry of the Chasing Magic Series on May 1st 2026!
