Welcome to the fourth chapter of the Chasing Magic Series!
Our year long journey offering a free sock knitting pattern and accompanying chapter to the Chasing Magic story every month!*
What could feel more like a bright spring or early summer day, than a basket filled with fresh berries?
These socks are inspired by precisely that, to wear this bright feeling on your feet on these still quite chilly evenings of those days, that can’t quite decide on what season they want to fall into.
After last month has been a break month, and considering the Mossy Path Socks were a quite involved knit, I wanted to ease back into the series with something simple and refreshing – something to knit on while enjoying that going outside doesn’t equate to being cold anymore!

Featuring a contrast cast on and a latvian braid right below the cuff, and with their simple texture, I think these socks would actually look quite cute in sandals like Birkenstocks and such, if that’s your style. ^^
Chasing Magic Chapter Four
Chapter five scheduled for June 1st 2026
The Berry Basket Sock Pattern
Click here to find the free PDF pattern for the Berry Basket Socks on Ravelry.
If ravelry isn’t accessible for you but you’d like to knit these socks, I’m more than happy to send it to you directly.
You can contact me on: wildflower-fibercrafts@protonmail.com
The Berry Basket Socks are worked cuff down, featuring a latvian braid below the cuff, and a simple all-over basket weave texture.
The heel is a classic heel flap and gusset, and the toe a wedged toe.
The basket weave texture is extremely simple and easy to memorise, so this pattern makes for a great project to have something to knit on on the go, after completing the latvian braid.

As always, I’ve put love and effort into creating this pattern.
So with that in mind: Please don’t steal this pattern to claim and/or sell it as your own.
Thank you for treating others’ creative work with respect! <3
Welcome Back!
If you’re returning after having looked at my other Chasing Magic Series patterns and chapters the past few months – Thank you so much! <3
If you haven’t – Thank you for being here now!
As announced under the previous chapter, I took a break from this series last month, to not burn myself out with this.
However, it wasn’t really that much of a break for me creative-“work” wise since…
I was busy creating my own digital magazine!
Click here to take a look at the first issue of the Cozy Corner Magazine.

It’s called The Cozy Corner Magazine!
It’s my take on putting together seasonal inspiration, crafting, embracing the simple things,… – simply said all the things I blog about (and more), into a magazine-format. I’m also aiming to feature at least one creative project/pattern per issue. This time, it’s a crochet amigurumi pattern! ^^
Obviously, like everything I publish, the magazine is totally free (you don’t have to give me your money, or your data!).
It’ll come out four times a year, aligned with the four seasons I experience where I live, and also be themed around them.
I hope you’ll like it!
The Cozy Corner Magazine is scheduled to come out on the 1st day of the month in April, July, October and January, which just so happens to perfectly align with all the break-months of the Chasing Magic Series this year.
What a coincidence! (/s, /jk) 😉
Thank you so much for joining me for this magical journey!
May your days be filled with comfort and whimsy
Have a wonderful month!
Snowdrop
*except for a few break-months in between, there will be a new sock pattern in my ravelry store, with its related chapter to the Chasing Magic story on this site, on the first day of every month.
